An independent one-day tune-up for qualified Symbios CCR divers who want to revisit critical knowledge, practise important procedures and sharpen the way they respond when something is not right.
This is a practical opportunity to revisit the parts of Symbios diving that benefit from discussion, repetition and feedback.
The session is for divers who already hold at least an entry-level certification on the Symbios CCR. It is not intended to repeat your original course or replace appropriate continuing training.
The exact emphasis can be adapted to the participants. We start by identifying your experience, recent diving and the areas you want to revisit, then use the dry and in-water sessions to work through the most useful material.
Half of the day is spent on guided dry discussion and half in the water.
To attend, you must hold at least an entry-level certification on the Symbios CCR, regardless of training agency, and bring your own dive-ready unit and normal personal diving equipment.
Sessions are limited to three divers so that each participant receives useful individual feedback.
The day is based at Zero Gravity in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico.

Gas, cylinder rental, Sofnolime and site entry are included. You provide your own Symbios CCR and personal diving equipment.
I have been involved with the Symbios CCR since before the unit was first made public. I was the first instructor to teach it and have contributed to the development, writing and review of training materials for the unit. I am also an approved Halcyon Symbios factory trainer and a GUE Instructor Evaluator on Symbios.
That combination of technical knowledge and teaching experience allows us to go beyond simply rehearsing drills. The aim is to improve how you understand the unit, interpret what it is telling you and respond to problems in a deliberate, structured way.
